Types of Information Collected

We retain two types of information

“Personal Data”

We obtain information about you when you contact us directly about our products and services, either by telephone, email or through our web portal. We obtain this information in order for us to send you a quotation and if applicable we also obtain information when you award us with business relating to your security and electrical needs in order to set up your account. Data which is not relevant to such processing will not be acquired or maintained.

We may collect any or all of the below personal information:

Your name, your address, your telephone number and email address, user IP addresses in circumstances where they have not been deleted. We may also collect your bank account or credit card details when registering certain products. Credit card details will only be taken if the customer chooses the option of using our credit card payment facility for services. These details are not held on file or maintained. Such information is only collected from you if you voluntarily submit it to us. We will retain your information for no longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was obtained by us or as required for legitimate business purposes.


“Non-Personal Data”

Like most websites, we gather statistical and other analytical information collected on an aggregate basis of all visitors to our website. This Non-Personal Data comprises information that cannot be used to identify or contact you, such as demographic information regarding, for example, user IP addresses where they have been clipped or anonymised, browser types and other anonymous statistical data involving the use of our website. We will retain this personal information on our contracts database for the duration of your contract. All such information is held on our secure servers.

We will retain your information for no longer than is necessary for the purpose for which it was obtained by us or as required for legitimate business purposes.

We may provide Non-Personal Data to third parties, where such information is combined with similar information of other users of our website. Sale of Business

We reserve the right to transfer information (including your Personal Data) to a third party in the event of a sale, merger, liquidation, receivership or transfer of all or substantially all of the assets of our company provided that the third party agrees to adhere to the terms of the Website Privacy Policy and provided that the third party only uses your Personal Data for the purposes that you provided it to us. Thomas Kenny and Co. Ltd employs high standards of security in order to protect the personal data under its care.
